World’s First Phonebook up for Auction

World's First Phonebook

This one of the world’s first telephone directory was issued in November 1878; two years after Bell invented the telephone. It contained some useful information for subscribers who were learning to use the new communication device, like say “Hulloa” to start the conversation. Christie estimates the bid will go for $30 to $40K.

By the way, it did not have any phone numbers printed.
